These terms are not yet binding. No legal entity name, address, or governing jurisdiction has been registered for this product. The operator must supply these details before these terms create enforceable obligations. Until then, this document states the intended terms of use but does not constitute a binding agreement.
What this tool is
Dotenvdiff is a free, client-side tool for comparing two .env files. It runs entirely in your browser. No data is uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server. The tool is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied.
Acceptance
By using this tool, you acknowledge that you have read these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the tool. Once the operator registers the legal entity, address, and jurisdiction for this product, continued use will constitute acceptance of the binding terms.
Use of the tool
You may use this tool for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code beyond what is delivered to your browser
- Use the tool to compare files containing unlawful content
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the hosting infrastructure
No data collection
This tool does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, credentials, or env-file contents. All processing occurs in your browser session and is discarded when you close the tab. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No accounts
This tool does not require or support user accounts. There is no login, no registration, no session persistence, and no personal identifier. Any feature described elsewhere that implies accounts is not yet available.
Billing
The basic tool described on this site — Dotenvdiff — is free. No payment is required to use it, and no billing information is requested or stored.
Test-mode checkout. Some pages on this site include a checkout form for demonstration purposes. This form does not connect to any live payment processor. It operates in test mode only and will not charge a real card. Entering card details into the test form has no financial effect. No payment is captured.
Until a paid tier is launched, none of these billing provisions are in effect. The free tool continues to operate as described without any payment obligation.
Intellectual property
The tool, its visual design, and its source code are the property of the operator. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the tool for its intended purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this tool. Because the tool performs no network operations and stores no data, the scope of potential harm is limited to the browser session in which the tool is used.
Changes to these terms
The operator may update these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. No separate notice will be provided.
Governing law
Not yet specified. The governing law and jurisdiction for this product will be stated here once the operator registers the legal entity. Until then, no governing law is declared.
